What can I expect during a lip advancement procedure?
During your initial consultation, Dr. Elizabeth will discuss with you exactly how much enhancement you’d like to experience. Once that is determined and all expectations have been discussed, she will begin your procedure by fully numbing your lips. Oral sedation may also be an option if you so choose. Dr. Elizabeth then makes an incision along the vermilion border along the top and bottom of your lips and gently removes a predetermined amount of skin. With the skin removed, the pink vermilion is pulled outward and upward, and incisions are carefully sutured it into place. This creates the increased size and shape of the lips that you desire.
