Brittany Haynes

Advanced Aesthetic Registered Nurse

When it comes to neurotoxins and fillers, Brittany Haynes, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-C, certainly knows her way around a syringe. As an experienced Aesthetic Nurse Injector and Nurse Practitioner working alongside Dr. Elizabeth, Brittany has all the talent and skill to produce the beautiful results that keep our clients happy. After all, there’s an art to injecting…and Brittany is an artist.

A proud Atlanta native,  Brittany is a Registered Nurse with years of patient care experience who will gladly tell you she found her niche in medical aesthetics. She has years of patient care experience and will gladly tell you she found her niche in medical aesthetics. Her career path in nursing initially steered in a somewhat different direction before meandering into the wonderful world of aesthetics, however. But from the start, there was no question that she would indeed become a nurse.

“I always just knew I was going to be a nurse because I was groomed to do something in the medical field,” she said. “My mother and my grandmother both worked in medical.”

After high school, Brittany set her sights on attending Florida A&M University, an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) well known for its nursing program.

“They have a very difficult but very excellent nursing program,” Brittany said. “I just knew that’s where I needed to be.”

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida A&M (where she served as president of the Student Nursing Association), Brittany went to work in a Postpartum/Newborn Nursey in Macon. Although she loved teaching new mothers how to take care of themselves and their newborn babies after they left the hospital, she still had an inkling that she was destined for a different nursing trajectory.

Before garnering her extensive track record of experience with injectables, Brittany lent her nursing skills to Pediatric Cardiology which, though rewarding, just wasn’t the right fit for her.

“It was just a very heavy industry,” she said. “I then kind of rekindled a passion and found my niche in aesthetics. I was always into skin care. I actually did makeup on the side when I was in college, but I didn’t realize at the time there was a niche for me in the aesthetics world. Then I did more research about it and ended up transitioning because I just outgrew my role as a pediatric nurse and wanted to do something a little more suitable for me. So I transitioned to where I am now as an injector.”

Once she shifted her focus to medical aesthetics, Brittany then obtained training and certifications with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), Allergan, Merz, and attended continuing educational conferences in medical aesthetic led by world renowned master injectors. Her most recent educational adventure entailed fulfilling a dream of becoming a nurse practitioner, which requires advanced training, education, and numerous hours of clinical work. Brittany’s technical level of her degree is Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-C), which enables her the ability to prescribe medications and perform more advanced procedures, among other things.

She starts off every new client interaction by asking them to point out at least one thing they love about their appearance, which helps set the tone for the rest of the appointment.

“I like to start off with something that feels good,” Brittany said. “I know you’re coming to see me because something is physically bothering you, but I like to keep the morale up high and build from there. Then I like to go over all the safety guidelines because that’s very important, followed by walking them through the process from beginning to end so they know exactly what to expect. That’s when I can customize treatment to meet the client’s specific goals.”

At the end of the day, Brittany says it’s all about true facial balancing and producing the most natural results possible. And the final result of putting a sincere smile on a client’s face thanks to a few injections is the icing on the cake.

“The satisfaction, the happiness, the confidence they get back, that is 100% the reward,” she said.

Brittany’s spare time is spent with her young daughter and having fun in the kitchen with her family. She’s also a self-proclaimed shopaholic.
