How does DAXXIFY work?
Like other neuromodulators, DAXXIFY (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is injected into the skin area where frown lines are present. The purified protein, botulinum toxin type A, then puts a temporary halt in specific muscle contractions that cause the frown lines to form, effectively diminishing or even eliminating the lines for several months. In addition to treating frown lines. DAXXIFY can also be used to smooth wrinkles in any other areas as well as an off-label use (typically wherever neurotoxin injections can be used).

How is DAXXIFY different from other neurotoxins?
DAXXIFY is the only frown line treatment powered by a peptide. Also, it doesn’t contain any human or animal byproducts. Other neurotoxins require a special ingredient to stabilize the botulinum toxin A, which is the protein responsible for pausing the muscle contractions that cause wrinkles. Other treatments use either human or animal byproducts as stabilizers, while DAXXIFY uses the novel peptide instead. The longer-lasting results of DAXXIFY also set it apart from other neurotoxins.
Is DAXXIFY safe?
DAXXIFY was rigorously tested in one of the largest-ever clinical studies that included more than 2,800 people of different ages and skin types. The results of that study showed no serious side effects relating to treatment, and 96% of people stated they were satisfied with their results.

Does DAXXIFY have any side effects?
While no serious side effects were reported in the clinical study, the most common side effects associated with DAXXIFY included the potential for swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness around the injection site (much like side effects associated with other neurotoxins). These are typically mild and resolve without intervention. Most patients feel comfortable resuming their normal activities once treatment is done.
When can I expect to see results from DAXXIFY?
Some patients report seeing results as early as one to two days after treatment. The most noticeable results (including improved texture, hydration, and glow) generally occur about two weeks after treatment, however. And the best part is those skin-smoothing results can last anywhere from six to nine months! At least 50% of patients in clinical trials still had visible improvement six months after treatment, with a smaller percentage of patients still experiencing results nine months after treatment.
